About Me

My photo
Welcome to my blog. I am a proud Christian, Wife, Momma, and Daughter. Our life is crazy at times, but we are blessed every day. Roll Tide!!!

Our Family is Growing!

On February 12th Dewayne and I gained a son-in-law, and 2 new grandchildren! (I know I'm playing catch-up! They've been married for 2 months tomorrow, and I'm just now getting around to blogging about it!) Crystal and Jason were married at the Guntersville State Park Lodge. It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful and sweet ceremony! Welcome to our crazy family Jason, Seth, and Jaylee!

The beautiful bride!

Handsome Carter all dressed up! Sweet Jaylee
Here comes the bride!
They had a very sweet sand ceremony for blending families.
Crystal, Jason, and their pastor (sorry don't remember his name - LOL)
Sweet and beautiful Amy who I hear has just acquired a fully developed back-bone, and is about to start kicking butt and taking names! I have lots of agression that needs to be burned off girl so you just call me if you need back-up!
The new family! I love this pic!
The happy couple! Jason LOVED Crystal's Alabama dress! We WILL convert him!

2011 Father Daughter Dance

This past Saturday night was Sara's last Father Daughter Dance. This is kinda sad for me. I know she can't stay little forever, but it seems like this last year she has just grown up so fast! Since this was the last one she wanted to go all out and get a more formal dress than ones she has worn in the past. I think she made a very good choice! A big thanks to Sissy for doing her hair!

This is one of my faves!

All the girls had a blast dancing, talking, and laughing the night away. I think some of them even took time to dance with their Daddy's!

Austin's Apple Fritters

Austin has been saving for a few months to buy himself an IPAD. It came in today and one of the first apps he installed was from Allrecipes.com. He found this recipe for Apple Fritters and they are YUMMY! I'm so glad at least one of my kids like to cook!

Nick Comes for a Visit!

Saturday was a Beautiful day! Alan and Nicholas came over and the kids had a blast playing outside. Nick is all about any kind of 4 wheel drive. He is all boy!

Sara and Nick are best buds. They are actually cousins, but Nick has gotten in the habit of calling her Sissy!

Alan took them for a ride on the RZR.

We LOVE Alan and his mini-me and can't wait for them to come back and hang out!

Sara's 12th Birthday

Sara had been planning a slumber party for her birthday for weeks. After the snow at the beginning of the week we were afraid we would have to postpone the party. Thankfully the snow/ice melted off the roads enough by the end of the week that all the girls were able to make it to the party.

Sara has always had a weakness for candy and sweets, but she has never liked birthday cake! She wanted some homeade rice krispy treats and a big chocolate chip cookie for her party.

I cannot believe how much she has grown and changed this last year! She is growing into a beautiful young lady and I am so proud to be her Momma.

Sara has such a great group of friends. I LOVE these girls!

They decided to build a pyramid to entertain us!

Opening presents!

The girls decided that they were gonna try to stay up all night, and most of them made it. I woke up about 6:30 the next morning and this is what I found!

It's amazing how much fun you can have with a Rubbermaid tote and a little snow and ice!

Snow Days!

Monday morning we woke up to LOTS of SNOW! We got about 6" or maybe a little more. We ended up being out of school for a week, and almost that long out of work! What's the first thing we did after the snow stopped falling? Bring out the 4 wheelers and RZR of course!

Believe it or not that's Sara under the ski mask!

Dewayne & Ted drove the RZR to Little Burton's to get gas to top off the tanks.

Austin showing his 4-wheeler a good time.

We decided to get the Jeep out for a spin. This is downtown Boaz in the snow.

Later in the day the Wehunts, Umphreys, and Willis's came over and we had a blast riding the sled in the pasture. Austin fabricated the sled and it is an all-terrain and all-weather fun machine! Click here to see the sled in warmer weather.

Austin showing us how it's done.

Sara and Taylor decided to try to ride together. I think they were saying STOP, but Kelly thought they wanted to go faster! LOL

Teenager in the House!!

Where have the years gone? My seven pound little baby boy somehow has grown to be as tall as me - and a teenager to boot! Austin is a hardworking, curious, always inventing, eager to help others, constantly questioning, deer hunting, quick tempered, outdoor loving, school tolerating, wicked smart young man. I am so glad that God chose me to be his Momma. Happy 13th Birthday Austin!

Austin got together with some friends to play paintball for his birthday. Here they are getting ready for the first battle.
